I like traveling very much, I always spend my whole holiday on traveling, for last National holiday, I went to The Yellow River Scenic Area with my parents, and it is so exciting. The Yellow River Scenic Area is situated northwest of Zhengzhou City, 30 kilometers away from downtown, in Henan Province. The scenic area is surprisingly beautiful. As seen from a high point in this scenic area, the mighty Yellow River rushes by and demonstrates tremendous force with rolling and falling of the river′s torrents. Sometimes in its thousands of miles, the river reaches wide endless plains where currents flow smoothly, and sometimes it meets precipitous mountains where it has to zigzag its way. Really, traveling can purify our soul.

My grandfather is a very helpful teacher,who is more than a relative, not only for his students, but also for me, his only grand daughter. Every time when I have to make an important decision, I will ask my grandfather for some suggestion. Last month I was standing at the cross of my life again. I got an offer from a university of Australia. But according to the offer, I was required to get a high score in IELTS test which is really hard for me. At the same time, I also got another offer from a Chinese uni( 国外对大学的简称，放心使用，很好很强大). I do not have to take any test for that university but I have no interests to go there either. I asked my grandfather which my best choice is. He said every way is a good way if I could run fast. Then I know what I should do. So this is my grandfather, he is just like a superstar and best friend in my heart.

There are many parties for family every year, such as Autumn Day, festival of lanterns and Spring Festival. Today I would like to tell you something about Spring Festival, a traditional day, which was celebrated for many centuries. Many Chinese like it very much, especially for kids. They can get pocket money from their grandparents and other relatives. Spring Festival is a symbol of union for all members of family when all of them get together to share the happiness of each other, eating dumplings and some modern foods. Nowadays most of adults don not have tome to be home with relatives, Spring Festival is a time when they can be together to hold a small party to share something. It is a good time.

My friend Lily will go to America for study next week, so I held a goodbye party for her. I invited so many friends of us and asked them to bring delicious food and drinks to the party. The party was taken in a teahouse where atmosphere is very sweet. Lily was in a gorgeous dress at that night. It’s a pure white dress, looked so elegant. She said, it’s her best dress, she hoped we could remember her most beautiful looking. During the dinner, we gave her our best wishes. I could see Lily’s tears and smiles both on her face. After dinner, we song our favorite song “ My flowers (那些花儿，胡编的，(*^__^*) 嘻嘻……) together. I felt that all of us smiled like flowers when we were singing that. Although Lily will leave us soon, I believe she will feel that she’s not alone.

In my spare time, I like watching movies most, and I have already seen Forrest Gump for many times. Every time I watch it, I will get some new things. The most impressive lines is life is like a box of chocolates, you never you never know what you're gonna get. Yeah, life is like a journey which is full of unknowns and obstacles. The movie’s beginning is a symbol of the process of life, a feather flying on the sky floating everywhere without directions and was blown by the strong winds. It is a coincidence that the destiny of Forrest reveals the truth of life. When he is a kid, his mother often tells him he is ordinary as everyone. Jenny gives him confidence and their kid is so smart. It is a comedy to some extend. Movie is not a way to relax but also provides us advices.

There are always so many annoying advertisements on TV, such as medicine, computer and food. But some of them are really interesting. Yesterday I saw an impressive advertisement which is selling spring water. A train was stopping on a railway station for a long time during some unknown problems. A girl in the train was looking outside the train with her beautiful and worrying eyes. She found a worker was working hard along the rail way. It’s a hot day; we could imagine from the camera that the worker must be very thirsty. Then the girl gives her spring water to the worker gently with lovely smile. The work also smiles. Although this advertisement does not show how fantastic the product is. I could feel that it must be very sweet.

Yesterday I got a piece of interesting news in a TV program which is about a family and a tiger. Three months ago, a famer found an animal when he was on his way to work. He said the animal was so cute, just like a wild cat. He thought this must be a little kitty that was abandoned by her mother. The animal was so poor, looking at him with its big eyes. With a strong sense of being a famer, he decided to take the animal home as a pet. All his families love this new family member very much. The little guy grown fast day after day, and soon it became to be a big cat. Every day, the cat had to eat three chickens. The famer fell that something must be wrong. Therefore he asked a professor to see what exactly the cat was. To be surprise, the “so called” cat is actually a white tiger which is very hard to find in China now. The professor suggested that he could send the tiger to the zoo; otherwise it would be very dangerous for his families and his neighbors. Although he loves the tiger so much, he finally decided to donate his favorite pet to the national zoo. Luckily, he could go to the zoo to take care of the tiger for several months.

我的感受

I would like to talk about my hometown Kaifeng City. You know, I was born there, so I loved the place very much. The house which we lived in was not a big one with about only 20 square meters. However, the special thing for it was that it was a bungalow which was very different from the storied one because the neighbors always knew each other very well and the relationships among the neighbors were always good. Now, we still contact with each other just like relatives even though we were separated.
Every time I go home, I will go there to have a look though the house is not there now, because I really miss the days of my childhood.
