        Apple Inc. plans to release its latest iPad in China on July 20, bringing the product to a fast-growing market that has presented the occasional bump, especially with new-product debuts.          苹果公司(Apple Inc.)计划于7月20日在中国开售第三代iPad。中国市场成长迅速但障碍重重，特别是在新产品上市方面。 
        China is Apple's second-largest market, behind the U.S., but the company has been slow to release the new iPad in China. The device already has come out in most developed countries and many other developing nations, including Venezuela and Malaysia.          中国是苹果公司的第二大市场，仅次于美国市场，但该公司迟迟未能在中国推出新iPad。该产品已在多数发达国家以及包括委内瑞拉和马来西亚在内的其他许多发展中国家推出。 
        The U.S. company didn't offer a reason for the slow release, which comes amid a lawsuit between Apple and Hong Kong-based Proview International Holdings Ltd. and its subsidiaries over the trademark of Apple's iconic tablet computer. A Chinese court said last week that Apple plans to pay $60 million to settle the dispute.          这家美国公司没有透露迟迟未能在中国推出新iPad的原因。在这期间，苹果公司一直在跟香港唯冠国际控股有限公司(Proview International Holdings Ltd.)及其子公司围绕“iPad”商标打官司。中国一家法院上周说，苹果公司计划支付6,000万美元就此案达成和解。 
        In offering the new product, Apple might look back at previous releases, which were greeted warmly but marred by clashes involving customers and scalpers.         An Apple device compatible with China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd.'s mobile network received a network-access license in May, according to a regulatory website, suggesting that Apple was close to being able to sell its new iPad in China.          监管机构网站显示，苹果公司一款兼容中国联合网络通信(香港)股份有限公司(China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd.，简称：中国联通)移动网络的设备在5月份获得入网许可，表明苹果公司差不多可以在中国销售新款iPad了。 
        Apple sold 11.8 million iPad units in its most recent period, more than double from a year earlier. The company began selling the third-generation iPad in March in the U.S., the first major product launch for Apple since the latest iPhone went on sale in October.         Apple's competitors have recently entered the tablet-computer arena in a battle for market share. In June, Google Inc. unveiled its Nexus 7 tablet, which features Android mobile software, a 7-inch screen and a camera.         Earlier that month, Microsoft Corp. introduced its first tablet computer, indicating a strategy shift for the technology company. The Surface tablet will run Microsoft's coming Windows 8 operating system on company-made hardware.         Greenlight Capital Inc. President David Einhorn, in an appearance on CNBC on Tuesday, said Apple is 'substantially undervalued' and that his hedge fund expects to continue to hold the stock 'for a good while longer.'
