编者按
目前根据《英语世界》(2016-04-04)和《21世纪英文报》(2015-04-05)微信公众号近期推送的以及在英文巴士网上所搜集到的来看,杜牧的《清明》已有12个英译本。正值清明节之际,林苑君亦邀请了班戈大学英语文学院许景城博士英译了杜牧的《清明》,此外在Translating China Forum中亦发现有赵彦春教授的英译本,在其他媒介还找到了唐一鹤的译本。故,此次小编所收集到的一共有15个英译本,是截止目前为之搜集最为全面的(如果其他好的中外译本,还望读者提供,贴于留言处,不甚感激。共同为传播中国典籍文化添砖加瓦。)。译者分别为许景城,杨宪益、戴乃迭,许渊冲、许明,赵彦春,吴钧陶,孙大雨,蔡廷干,万昌盛、王僴中,吴伟雄,徐忠杰,龚景浩,曹顺发,丁祖馨,任治稷、余正,唐一鹤。以飨读者。各位译者英译文化负载词“清明”上采用的策略不尽相同,大体上归为音译(比如徐忠杰,丁祖馨,任治稷、余正的译本)、直译(比如赵彦春,吴钧陶,孙大雨,龚景浩,唐一鹤)、意译(许景城,杨宪益、戴乃迭,许渊冲、许明,万昌盛、王僴中,吴伟雄,曹顺发)。蔡廷干别具一格地将“清明节”译为All Souls' Day,化用了西方国家“万圣节”的英文表达“All Saints' Day”。在英译“雨纷纷”、“断魂”、“牧童”、“遥指”、“杏花村”时,各位译者各有千秋。此外,在形式和押韵格式上,14个译本大体上有韵体(aaba,aabb,aabc)和散文体。具体细节分析,望读者自赏自析。河北卫视新闻主播红叶朗诵原汉诗,双语主播李强朗诵许景城的英译文,录音师张晖进行音频编辑。特此感谢。
