从2016年11月开始，代表选举工作有序展开。在约一年的时间内，全国选举产生了2287名出席党的十九大代表。
The elections started in November 2016. In about one year, 2287 delegates have been elected to attend the upcoming 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, to be held in Beijing from Oct 18.
十九大党代表的选举单位共40个，除31省、自治区、直辖市外，还划分出9个选举单位。不只按照地域，中共党代表的选举单位还按照行业、领域、群体划分。

党的中央委员会每届任期五年。
The CPC Central Committee is elected for a term of five years.
中央委员会委员和候补委员必须有五年以上的党龄。
Members and alternate members of the Central Committee must have a Party standing of five years or more.
中央委员会委员和候补委员的名额，由全国代表大会决定。
The number of members and alternate members of the Central Committee shall be determined by the National Congress.
中央委员会委员出缺，由中央委员会候补委员按照得票多少依次递补。
Vacancies on the Central Committee shall be filled by its alternate members in the order of the number of votes by which they were elected.
